I am currently studying the feasability of using the marine invertebrate
Arenicola marina (lugworm) as a genotoxic biomarker of lead acetate
pollution. I am hoping to correlate distinctive DNA strand breakage
resulting from exposure of the invertebrate to lead acetate.
I am experiencing problems finding a suitable DNA extraction process to
minimise mechanical strand breakage and would greatly appreciate it if
anyone could point me in the right direction regarding a suitable
methodology.
