Does anybody have a recipe for a completely synthetic growth medium for Bacillus subtilis? I have tried Spizizen salts medium but my cells are not growing without adding yeast extract (which I want to avoid). Jan van der Ploeg Institute of Microbiology ETH Zürich Switzerland
