Problem with FNC agar

 I am working with Corynobacterium kutscheri.I try to make a selective medium
with furazolidone,nalidixic acid and colimicyn following a method of a paper.
  Method is :"Furazolidone and nalidixic acid dissolved in 0.1N NaOH were added
to heart infusion agar to yield concentrtions of 80 and 15 µg/ml respectively.
After the medium was autoclaved and cooledat 50 C,1% colimicyn solution
sterilized by filtration was adedd to yield a concentration of 10 µg/ml

     My problem is :
   
  - I can't to dissolve furazolidone in NaOH

 How can I make? 
 
 I try isolate this agent from oral cavity and cecal contents of rats and mice.

 Do you know another medium ?
