Colloidal Silver to be Banned by FDA on January 15, 1997

I don't know if this is correct, but I was told FDA will ban the sale of
Colloidal Silver as an injestable nutritional supplement on January 15,
1997. 
 
Dr. Jeff Anderson, (MD?) somewhere in Northern California was working on
stopping the ban by presenting data proving colloidal silver is either
safe or effective, I'm not sure which. 
 
Has anybody heard of this ban or of Dr. Anderson.   
 
Did anyone see the CNN Headline News report on this Saturday, January 4,
1997 at about 6:00 pm Central time?
