As regards vaccination, do not forget the reason that the reduction in
infection is the so-called 'herd immunity'. As a result of the degree of
vaccination, there are far fewer suceptible hosts for the organism to
replicate in. It is not gone and I would be fairly confident in
predicting that if vaccination level drops, that disease will return
(after a lag).
