It seems to me that the difference, at least at a simple level is that
of "how" verses "why"...
Biochemistry answers the questions of how reactions occur in life
systems. The focus being on specific chemical interactions.

Molecular Biology attacks these same questions from the aspect of why
they occur in particular organisms and environmental conditions.

( In a grossly simplified nutshell, of course! )
