Curing plasmids with coumermycin

As a result of my enquiry regarding the curing of a plasmid from my
strain, I tried using a sub-inhibitory concentration of coumermycin
and obtained a >70% cure-rate. The plasmid was different to the
pBR322-based plasmid described in my earlier entry; this one is a low
copy-number derivative of pSC101, but the outcome was the same.
