The Society for Industrial Microbiology Fall Meeting will be held
Thursday, October 9, from 2-5 PM at the University of Connecticut, Storrs

2:00  Genetic and biochemical characterization of bacterial cell wall
synthesis, Michael J. Pucci, Bristol-Meyers Squibb Co., Wallilngford CT.

3:00  Fungal enzymes degrading synthetic polycaprolactones, Catherine A.
Murphy, Dept. of Miolecular and Cell Biology, UConn, Storrs.

4:00  Mechanism of action of the biocide pyrithione, Jon R. Geiger, Olin
Research Center, Cheshire CT

Everyone is invited to attend this symposium which is free of charge.

Directions:  Gant Science Complex, North Campus.  Room 20 of the UConn
Institute of Materials Science.  Exit 68 on I-84 to Rte. 195 South.  Drive
6.4 miles to parking lot W.  (Look for blue sign that reads CAMPUS
DIRECTORY:PARKING SERVICES).  Pick up a permit at the information booth
or the white buiulding on the left.  Then park near the shuttle bus stop
(shelter huts with gray roofs).   

I understnad that the dinner following the presentations has been sold
out.
