A postdoctoral position (renewable for three years) is available
immediately to genetically engineer Gram-positive and negative bacteria to
secrete corrosion-inhibiting compounds. This project is part of a
multi-disciplinary effort to study biologically-influenced corrosion. A
Ph.D. in molecular biology, chemical engineering, or related field is
required and experience with fermentation and biofilms will be beneficial.
