Reading "Genome Data Shake Tree of Life" in the latest issue of Science, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry (it would be laughable if it wasn't such a serious matter). It's a real shame microbiology is in such a state of confusion, but I've done my best to warn that this was coming and how to begin mitigating the damage.
