iOligo
1.0, its new software product to help scientists involved in molecular
biology and genetic research. "iOligo is a state-of-the-art primer
design
and purchasing program. It quickly retrieves DNA or protein sequences
over
the web from the National Center for Biotechnology's (NCBI) databases.
iOligo designs the best oligos for PCR or sequencing reactions, and
orders

iOligo is a comprehensive program for design, analysis, and purchase of
oligonucleotides, specifically those oligonucleotides for PCR and
sequencing. iOligo accepts DNA, RNA, or back-translated proteins as
input
sequences. You can retrieve sequences directly from NCBI, using not only
accession numbers related to a submitted sequence, but also the author's
name, keywords, and locus identifiers, so you can easily design
oligonucleotides(oligos) for any sequence in the published database.
You may view thermodynamic properties of your DNA and accurately predict
annealing reactions for all possible oligonucleotides based on the most
current nearest-neighbor parameters data which have shown to provide the
most accurate Tm predictions. Tm calculations using iOligo are based
upon
the user's specified criteria for DG temperature, salt concentrations,
and
oligo concentrations.
Available now, iOligo 1.0 runs on computers using the Macintosh and
Windows
operating systems, and is priced at $499 ($99 for academic users).
