Hello everybody !

Can anybody of you explain, what levy-units are ?
I´ve found this term in correlation with inactivation of antibiotics, eg.
Penicillinase with 1.000.000 levy-units.

Are there "units" meant in term of inactivation of x mol Penicillin / min
/mg or ?

Any help would be apreciated.
