I met my husband in the micro lab at our local medical school. I was
done with training and he was still finishing school. He was working
part time setting up specimens and making racks and racks of media.
There was another guy also and every Wednesday night was media night.
The two of them would come in and make tons of stuff and set up
specimens, too. This was pre-API or Vitek days and all identifications
were done with tubed media.
Ah yes, the good ol' days......long gone in the sea of reduced
reimbursements and DRG's........
