The kitchen is where one prepares food. Appropriate for microbiology
media prep.

You are apparently not a chef.  :-)

I would think it could be considered an honor that a good microbiology
media prep facility, with its art and technology, is called a kitchen.
ATCC should be proud of its kitchen!
