Hello
I am cultivating strict anaerobic autotrophs. I need help with the
inorganic support for the culture media. The silicate-based media (the only
one that IS NOT based on organic compunds I found on the market) is very
expensive. Another possible alternative would be bentonite -based media,
according to the patent http://www.freepatentsonline.com/3935967.html
They use 200 mesh bentonite as an immitation of agar. Does anybody have an
experience of using this kind of inorganic substrate?
please, email me directly at txl8326 from louisiana.edu
Thanks
