Oxalobacter formagenesis: Chromosomal DNA extraction

Dear All,
     A colleague of mine requires a protocol for the extraction of chromosomal 
DNA from Oxalobacter formagenesis (including techniques on how to grow the 
bacteria up). He intends clone a particular gene using PCR techniques. Any 
suggestions/references will be greatfully appreciated. Thanks in advance,
