John, put your flame throwers away! My immediate goal as a researcher is to 
answer a question. The question was how to go about identifying the 
incriminating bacteria. I helped the physician by answering his question. Now 
he can help the patient because of my assistance. If that means discovering 
something new that may help others and being appreciated for it, why is that 
bad? If I came across as unfeeling, well that was YOUR impression!
