There are many books and reviews of molecular evolutionary topics.
Yesterday I received the one of the latest "Fundamentals of Molecular Evolution"
by W.-H. Li and D. Graur (1990). I am just starting to read this beginners
introduction to molecular evolution. The examples look pertinent and the
text well written. Perhaps you will find this a good starting point.
