My thanks to all of you who responded to the query. The person who
asked me the question was surprised by the number and rapidity of the
responses which came in and is now going to get access to the network
for himself. Thank you all for bringing in another "convert."
On another note, in the over 500 replies that I have received to date
in the BIONEWS readership survey, only one response was negative about
the newsgroups! There are still people out there who do not take
these forums seriously, but I think that this too will eventually
pass. Obviously the newsgroups are not peer-reviewed journals, but
they have other advantages that journals do not possess.
