Maybe ...
1. Viruses (naked, just a fragment of sequence) appear first.
And it was "injected" into organisms "by accident".
2. Organisms first. And its sequences broke (or...) for some reason.
3. Viruses were a "devolution" from some kind of mechanism (reason).
(Not a "devolution" from its host organism).
4. Or .... ???
