Baldwin theory explains why Lamarckian inheritance appears to be right
(even though it isn't).

Supposedly the idea is that an individual that can learn can bridge gaps
in its genetic endowment and, therefore, bias the population even though
other individuals may have better genes.  I understand that this
explanation may be somewhat wrongheaded but I think that it is the rough
