I apologize for posting this on several boards, but was unsure of the
most appropriate one.
We would like to quantify relatedness among a family of viruses by
total genomic hybridization and are interested in the merits of
filter hybridization versus hybridization in liquid. We have found
studies that use one approach or the other, but have not found any
publications that compare the methods or provide an overview of both
approaches. If you were going to attempt this project what method
would you use, and why? References to pertinent literature or
helpful pointers would be much appreciated.
Sincerely
Curtis Suttle
