AChE haplotypes

Does anyone know if DNA sequence polymorphism in human acetylcholinesterase
has been assayed, either direct sequences or RFLP data?

And another, unrelated question:

What have been people's experiences using the "single-molecule-dilution"
method of Ruano et al. (1990, PNAS 87:6296-6300) for obtaining DNA
sequences of individual haplotypes from heterozygous individuals? Has
anyone used this technique sucessfully on any species other than humans?

Please respond to "thomasb at ento.csiro.au"

Thanks.
Thomas
