Biology and Evolution in the states of New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut,
western Pennsylvania,  northern Ohio, eastern Michigan, and in the province of 
Ontario.  If you OR SOMEONE IN YOUR LAB GROUP is a member please send in the

9:00  Morning Session of Invited Talks
	Caro-Beth Stewart, S.U.N.Y. Albany, "Adaptive evolution of digestive 
enzymes in mammals"
	David Irwin, University of Toronto, "Molecular evolution of the ruminant 
lysozyme gene family"
	Brian Golding and R.S.Gupta, McMaster University "Protein Based Phylogenies 
support a chimeric origin for eukaryotic cells".
	Tom Eickbush, University of Rochester, "How to be selfish and successful by 
finding the right niche: the R1 and R2  story."
	Linda Strausbaugh, University of Connecticut, "Wondering about Histones and 
wandering  into Heterochromatin"

1:30	  Afternoon Session of short talks. 
 	  Up o three concurent sessions.
	  	Posters will be available for viewing during this session.

4:30  	Poster session and auction of donated books.

Refreshments will be provided upon arrival in the morning , at morning and 
afternoon breaks, and finger food will be provided during the poster session. 

No registration fee is required, but we ask that you complete the attached 
registration form and return it by no later than March 1, 1994 in order that we 
might plan adequate space and refreshments for this meeting.  Those who register 
will receive additional information including maps, a guide to motels,
and a complete program.
