\centerline{\bf COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM}
\centerline{\bf Postdoctoral Fellowships available}
The University of Pennsylvania announces an NSF-funded training
program in Computational Biology, with research focusing on
applications of computer science, mathematics, and statistics to
molecular genetics. Particular areas of interest include physical
and genetic mapping, biological databases, multiple sequence alignment,
phylogeny construction, sequence search and analysis, statistical
methods, and discrete algorithms and combinatorial optimization in
biology. Funds are available now for strong applicants with Ph.D.s
in any of the core disciplines (mathematics, computer science, statistics,
or the biological sciences) who are interested in this interdisciplinary
research. Interested persons should contact the PI (Dr.Warren Ewens,
wewens at mail.sas.upenn.edu) from whom information concerning the program
can be obtained.
