I don't know if this is the best place to go with this post,
but I'll give it a shot.
I received an announcement about the Protein Engineering meeting
in Miami earlier this month. I had hoped to go but it didn't work
out. Although my interests are primarily in protein structure and
folding, I was intrigued by the presence of Stuart Kauffman on the
program.
I have become interested in some of these views of self-organization
and their relevance to evolution and protein structure.
I was wondering if anybody heard the talk, how it was, how it went
over, etc. I've read most of _Origin of Order_ and am familiar with
the popular complexity/artificial life literature.
Feel free to suggest a more appropriate usenet group, if you want.
Thanks.
