Your teacher was cowardly, not wise.
Since when does wisdom entail letting Darwin, Freud and Newton
do your thinking for you?! Or anyone else for that matter (ie.,
your teacher.
I am not suggesting that these people were not largely correct or briliant.
I am suggesting that had Einstein listened to your teacher where would we be now?
There are two ways to slide easily through life:
to believe everything,
or to doubt everything;
both ways save us from thinking.
