With regard to dominance and recessiveness, it is important to remember
that one gene is not neccessarily dominant to another. In fact, the
terms dominance and recessiveness are poor. For example, In considering
two structural genes, one "dominant" and the other "recessive" for the
same trait, both might be expressed, it might be that one of the products
that is made, is faulty, or is made in less concentration, not
neccessarily that it is not made at all. Dominance is just what you see
in the heterozygote.
