Molecular systematics - is it all rubbish?

It's always difficult to squeeze it into one sentence, but you do need at 
least one additional component--the differential reproduction of organisms 
must be a consequence of the interaction of the organisms with their 
environment. In this context the INTERACTION can be considered the driver.
