Part of the codon bias reflects a nucleotide bias that is also observed in
non protein encoding regions of the genome. For example in Giardia the
third codon positions and the rRNA genes are high in GC's; in chloroplasts
the third codon positions and the rRNA are AT rich. An easy way to exclude
the nucleotide and/or codon bias is to use amino acid sequences.
