1995 Faith (apologies)

*****************************************
The following is my general (apologetic)
response (because I am a lousy typist and
I do not have the time to reply to every
response...(if it's not already apparent,
I am a Creationist - Romans 1:18-25)
******************************************

I seem to have opened up a can of worms. I
was ignorant to think I wouldn't. I apologize
for the intrusion. I support the free expression
of religion and I will leave you to yours in
peace.

I really expected to be ignored, so I guess I
am thankful for the (mostly) thoughtful
responses.

I regret my excursion into this field, but I
will answer the question concerning the "coffin"
quote - Dr. Lyall Watson from SCIENCE DIGEST
vol. 90 May 1982 page 44. (The fossils that
decorate our family tree are so scarce that there
are more scientists than specimens. The ramarkable
fact is that all the physical evidence we have for
human evolution can still be placed, with room to
spare, inside a single coffin!")

Concerning the relevance of different fields and
the general anger over the "ignorant" suggestion
that evolution is faith-based, I will depart with
the following quotes:

"I still think, to the unprejudiced, the fossil
record of plants is in favor of special creation."

												             -Prof. E.J.H Corner (evolutionist)
                            Cambridge University

"The fact of evolution is the backbone of biology, and
biology is thus in the peculiar position of being a
science founded on an unproved theory - is it then a
science or faith? Belief in the theory of evolution is
thus exactly parallel to belief in special creation..."

                          -Dr. L.H. Matthews (evolutionist)
1971 edition of Origin of the Species

"Darwinism is not a scientific theory, but metaphysical."

                           -Karl Popper (evolutionist)
                              Nobel Prize winner

"[Evolution] by definition, is not part of science."

                             -Colin Patterson (evolutionist)
                               The Creation/Evolution Controversy

I apologize again for the intrusion. It will not
happen again. My only wish is that evolutionists
would admit they are working on faith. Order from
chaos, life from non-life are massive hurdles that
must be overcome in order for this theory to hold
the power and respect that it currently enjoys at
most universities. But, alas, religion is the opiate
of the elitists (sic).

Sorry for the sarcastic tone of that last sentence...

I will leave you to it, and I apologize again.

If anyone is interested in other quotes by evolutionists
along these lines (Asimov, Gould, Darwin, Hoyle, etc.)
contact me underground.

So Long,

Michael
