Hi Gerhard!

The clearest example of its application to date is by Lento, Hickson,
Chambers, and Penny (MBE 12:28-52. 1995.) I suggest that you particularly
study Figure 3 in that article. Note also that a LogDet (log determinant)
transformation of the data does an amazing job of increasing the
frequency of pairwise comparisons that support a particular
hypothesis. Sorry this is not much of an explanation of the method
but I'm not sure I could do that in 30 words or less.
