why do we die?

First of all it is not a simple question, but you already have one of
the basic answers. We die for exactly that reason, because we cant keep
regenerating all of our cells. Neurons for example do not divide again
once they are differentiated. It is a trade off, highly specialized
cells that can't divide Vs unspecialized cells that can divide.
