NEW SOFTWARE HELPERS FOR HENNIG86
WHERE: ftp - to zoo.toronto.edu
       www - from http://www.vims.edu/~mes/hennig/software.html
COST: nada
WHAT:
1) ARNIE.EXE looks for the length incongurence difference significance
of Farris et al (1994). That is, tests to see if your dataset partitions
are meaningful or not.
2) WARDLEY.EXE uses the method of Wheeler and Nixon to create Sankoff-
characters (step matrices) for TV:TS ratios, and gap costs in tree
estimation.
3) TEASE.EXE strips uninformative characters from your matrix. Hennig86
is restricted to 999 characters. This will help the moleculoid a lot.
4) PACK.EXE combines characters with the same state distributions
into one weighted character. Also helps reduce the matrix size.
