The following ad appeared in the August 1st issue of Science:

Population Genetics/Biology

The Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University
invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant
Professor position in population genetics/biology. We encourage
applicants whose research interests are at the interface
between population biology and genetics and who use the study of
molecular and/or quantitative trait variation to investigate
population-level processes. Desired starting date January, 1998. The
successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent
degree and postdoctoral experience in population genetics/biology.
Responsibilities include development of a strong, funded
research program directing student research, and teaching at the
undergraduate and graduate level. Closing date for
applications: September 8, 1997 or until candidate selected.
