Is 16S rDNA good for intragenus analysis of Streptomyces ?

Would using the hypervariable (alpha, beta, and
gamma) regions of the 16S rDNA sequence be appropriate for intragenus
analysis despite the fact that, as a whole, the highly conserved 16S
rDNA sequences were mostly used for analysis at higher taxonomic level.
How about the ITS regions ?

I am currently working on Streptomyces spp., is there any papers
which had done some phylogenetic analysis on this genus ?
