Hi,
I have a set of aligned protein sequences. I can calculate the phylogeny
using neighbour-joining method (PHYLIP).
I would like to be able to:
a. predict a common ancestral sequence
b. compute the divergence in years
How do I go about this?
Also, would it be better to use the DNA sequences?
Please let me have your views and point me in the right direction.
Cheers,
Shoba
