Hi,
I am wondering whether it is possible, when using a ML reconstruction
program, to assign different rate of evolution for different species
included in a phylogeny.
For example, a phylogeny included annual and perennial species (in plant).
You can expect that annual species have evolved faster than perennials. Is
it possible to take in account this parameter in a ML calculation? And do
you have any theoretical refs abous such possible effect?
Thanks
