MOLECULAR AND DEVELOPMENTAL EVOLUTION, BOSTON UNIVERSITY
A post-doc is available to study molecular and developmental
evolution at Boston University in the lab of Dr. John Finnerty. The
position will involve multi-disciplinary approaches to study the
evolution of developmental regulatory genes in basal metazoans.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology, Molecular
Biology, Developmental Biology, or related field. Strong interest in
evolution and familiarity with standard molecular biology techniques are
expected. Preference will be given for experience in one or more of the
following techniques: in situ hybridization, RNA interference,
electroporation-mediated transformation of eukaryotic cells, library
construction, field-inversion gel elctrophoresis, and automated
sequencing. Interest in bioinformatics and/or phylogenetic inference is
