The Department of Biology at the University of Central Florida invites
applications for a nine-month, tenure-earning position in molecular
evolution to begin August 2000. We seek a person at the Assistant or
Associate Professor level who uses molecular techniques to investigate
problems in evolution and conservation biology. The individual will
serve as a bridge between developing programs in Biomolecular Sciences
and Conservation Biology. The successful candidate would be expected to
teach molecular evolution, conservation genetics, and contribute to
teaching core undergraduate and graduate courses in evolutionary
biology. This individual would also be expected to direct graduate
students and establish a strong, externally funded research program. A
Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience are minimum requirements. Applicants
