Significance of Neanderthal mtDNA sequences

The fact that recently recovered sequences of Neanderthal mitochondrial
DNA differ considerably from the corresponding sequences in modern
humans does not necessarily mean that there are no Neanderthal nuclear
DNA sequences in modern humans.
