A TWO YEAR POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN
MOLECULAR DEVELOPMENTAL EVOLUTION
AT YALE UNIVERSITY
A position for a molecular or developmental biologist interested in the
molecular basis of developmental evolution is available in the lab of
Gunter Wagner in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at
Yale University. The project focuses on the molecular evolution of
developmental control genes involved in limb development in taxa
spanning the fin-limb transition. The goal is to link molecular
evolution to the evolution of developmental regulatory networks
associated with a major evolutionary innovation, the origin of the
tetrapod limb.
Demonstration of a strong background in molecular biology is required.
Experience in molecular evolution, developmental biology and functional
transcription factor assays is preferred but not required. Start date
ASAP.
