POSTDOC -- MOLECULAR DEVELOPMENT OF TARDIGRADES
A one year BBSRC-funded postdoc studying Hox genes in tardigrade development
is available immediately. We are interested in the anterior segments of the
tardigrades in relation to the arthropods and hope to obtain gene expression
data for several genes expected to be involved in head formation. A strong
background in molecular biology is required and experience of in situ
hybridisation techniques would be a strong plus. We have excellent
facilities of all sorts needed for this work. For more information contact
R.Thomas at nhm.ac.uk.
Please send a letter of interest, CV and details of three referees
(including email addresses and telephone numbers) to Dr Richard H. Thomas,
Department of Zoology, The Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London,
SW7 5BD, United Kingdom. Informal enquiries to R.Thomas at nhm.ac.uk.
Application deadline 1 December 2000. Electronic submission encouraged.
