Insect mt primer 28

Has anyone had any success sequencing insect cyt b sequences using the
insect universal mt primer kit?  We have a number of amplicons using
primers 26 and one other, and although we get nice amplification, all
our sequencing reactions fail?  Has anyone had similar experiences with
this primer?
