At the University of Manchester, UK, we have over 10 years experience in
teaching a range of online courses in bioinformatics. Students may
combine courses to best suit their needs for professional development.
For example, the following courses will provide key skills required for
biological data analysis:

Biocomputing (perl and database design)
Mathematics for metabolic modelling (An introduction to modelling
approaches, using R)
Bioinformatics for Systems Biology
Introduction to microarray data analysis, using Bioconductor

Each course, which is paced to suit those in full-time employment, runs
over 16 teaching weeks.

The next courses begin on 4 October 2010 and you can also book early for
the courses running in March 2011. Early booking is advisable, as some
courses do fill up quickly.
