Hi everyone. I have a very basic simple question.
I read that in 1904, George Nuttall mixed sera and anti sera from different species. By examining the precipitate that formed, he suggested that a stronger cross-reaction was indicative of a closer evolutionary relationship.
I find immunology REALLY confusing.
Can anyone, in really simple language, explain why this is the case?
