[[ if this message got to the wrong newsgroup,
[[ i apologize, but i really need help with this...
hello all,
i'm a medicine student at the university of vienna, austria, and i'm
currently taking a course in medical cybernetics.
i'm programming (or at least, i'm trying to program) a near-realistic
computer-simulation of the cyclic changes in the membrane potential
of the pacemaker cells in the SA node. now i find that this is
considerably harder than i thought at first, and try as i might, i could
not find anybody in austria with experience in SA node models.
is there anybody who can help me in any way?
ANY kind of advice would be greatly appreciated!
have you heard of similar simulations, do you have access to them,
or do you know anybody who does?
i've heard about a program called "oxsoft heart model" that (i think)
was developed by prof. denis noble et al. in oxford.
where can i learn more about this program? the www-pages at oxford
university were not exactly a great help for me (either they were
_under construction_ , or they didn't contain useful information).
but then, maybe i just don't know the right places to look.
please email me at weiss at medis.net .
thank you,
stefan weiss
