CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
The Triangle Area Neural Network Society
Spring 1993 TANNS Symposium

The Triangle Area Neural Network Society (TANNS) is sponsoring a one day
symposium on neural networks. The main purpose of the symposium is to
provide a forum for those people in the Carolinas and Virginia who are
interested in neural networks to present their work and learn from others.
TANNS is a regional Special Interest Group of the International Neural
Network Society (SIGINNS) and a Regional Interest Group (RIG) of the IEEE
Neural Networks Council.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. JOHN A. HERTZ, Nordita, Denmark
APPLICATION OF NEURAL NETS TO ANALYZING NEURONAL SPIKE TRAINS
The symposium will be a very low budget affair with the cost of lunch being
the only fee. The symposium organizers want presentations from both the
academic and industrial communities. Presentations may be in the form of
twenty minute talks or posters. Topics include but are not limited to:
Neural Networks, Neurobiology, Perceptual or Cognitive Psychology,
Connectionism, and Fuzzy Logic.
Those people interested in participating should send a one page abstract to
Dr. John Sutton at sutton at eos.ncsu.edu or Box 7911, ECE Dept., North
Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, 27695. Please indicate your
preference for giving either a talk or a poster. The deadline for the
abstract is Monday, April 4, 1993.
