Trasnformation Spike Train Data into Continuous Waveform

You just run the spike train into a leaky integrator to mimick the
summation of EPSPs.  See C.F. Stevens NEUROPHYSIOLOGY: A PRIMER (Wiley
1966) if your library has a copy.
