Researchers in Spain have destroyed the cerebral cortex of lizards and
it has grown back! This is the first and only instance of
brain tissue regeneration spontaneously. Perhaps you can expand
upon this in your screenplay by having the mad scientists therein
graft some of this amazing lizard tissue to a human brain that
needs regeneration and they end up with a lizardman.
